Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search box is sent to the outside provider that supplies the search results; we do not retain a history of those search entries on our servers. If you contact us, we receive the details you choose to include and use them to respond.
Basic Visit Logs
The web host records routine technical details such as IP address, browser type, pages opened, and visit times. We review these items in aggregate to maintain the service and understand page traffic. Cookies or similar tools may be used for basic analytics and, when applicable, ad measurement.
How We Use Visit Data
We use the limited data to run the service, address faults, measure traffic, and improve the pages. We do not sell lists of visitors or create individual user profiles.
When You Follow an Outside Link
New Jersey government portals, county offices, libraries, archives, and outside search providers have their own privacy rules. Those policies apply to information you submit on their services. Sponsored results also come from an outside provider, so its practices govern that interaction.
Who Processes the Information
Our hosting and support providers handle technical logs as part of operating the site. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic visit details described above. We disclose information when valid legal process requires disclosure.
Safeguards and Retention
Connections to the site use encryption, and technical logs are kept only for as long as the purposes above call for them. Because readers do not create accounts here, this service does not hold their passwords or account profiles.
Children and Teens
This reference is intended for adults, not children. We do not knowingly gather personal information from anyone under 18. If you think a minor has sent information to us, contact us so we can remove it.
Requests About Your Information
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may be able to ask a website to access, correct, or delete personal data it holds. We retain very little: we can check our contact mailbox and remaining server logs, then remove information we control. Send a request through the Contact page. This site cannot change New Jersey public records; ask the office that keeps an official record about correction or removal.
New Jersey's Address Confidentiality Program, N.J.S.A. 47:4-1 et seq., provides qualifying participants a substitute address and mail forwarding for new records. It cannot erase a physical address already entered in a public record.
Policy Updates
We will post a revised policy here if our practices change. Continued use after a revision is posted indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
